Vienna International Airport is also sometimes called Schwechat, after the name of a small town in the immediate vicinity of the airport. The capital will need to drive another 20 km. Vienna Airport was awarded the World Airport Awards as the best airport in Central Europe. Every year it receives up to 25 million tourists.

The airport is divided into three terminals, the last of which was opened relatively recently - in 2012. In the arrivals area, tourists can get a map of the city free of charge, as well as take advantage of taxi and car rental services. Those who want to buy souvenirs and delicacies at the airport of Vienna have a choice - the Duty Free zone, where companies are more elite and expensive, or in the supermarket located here.

You can comfortably get to the city by aeroexpress (11 euros), the stop of which is located on the ground floor of the building. From there the train departs, which goes to the city a little longer (about half an hour), but a ticket for it costs only 4 euros. Services of taxi drivers on duty at the airport will cost about 40 euros for a trip to the city center. For tourists who want to get acquainted not only with the capital of Austria, but also with its picturesque towns, resorts and thermal springs, representatives of rental companies offer to rent a car directly at the airport.
