Burgas International Airport (also called Sarafovo Airport) is the second largest in Bulgaria after Sofia airport. More than 2 million passengers come here every year, and this figure increases with the growing tourist popularity of Bulgaria. In the next five years, it is planned to invest 403 million euros in the development of the airport, which will be used to build an additional terminal and modernize the existing one.

There is one terminal operating at the Burgas airport, performing both international and domestic flights. Both floors feature duty-free shops as well as local grocery stores. Tourists can relax in the restaurant on the outdoor terrace or in the VIP-lounge with upholstered furniture, air conditioning, internet access and soft drinks. A children's leisure area and toy shops are located in the departure area.

The main way of moving around Bulgaria is by private cars, therefore for the convenience of tourists at the airport all the main leaders of the international car rental market are represented. If you rent a car, you can visit the picturesque small villages and remote beaches that are not accessible to most tourists without their own transport. To get from the airport to the city is possible by bus, a ticket for which costs two euros. A taxi ride will cost about 9 euros.
