The most popular view of Sudak is a view of the medieval fortress, built in the XIV-XV centuries by the Genoese in the colony Soldaya. Until 1936, the church was open to visitors until it was decided to demolish it and build the Pioneer House in its place. During the period of German occupation, services were held in the temple for some time, which ceased with the end of the war. They began to revive the church in the 90s, when it became the property of the Russian Orthodox Church.
