The international airport of the island of Rhodes is located 14 km from the capital of the island of Paradisi and is named after the ancient Greek philosopher Diagor Melossky. So it is better to take care of this in advance, finally having lunch in one of the inexpensive restaurants on the island with characteristic plentiful portions. There are no special places for smoking, which is also worth considering. But the friendly staff is always happy to answer questions from tourists and help if you need medical help, information about the island or a rental car.

From the airport to the selected hotel you can get a taxi, which at any time are on duty at the exit. The trip will cost from about 25 euros to 100 to the farthest parts of the island. In this case, a rental car is a good alternative to a taxi, which allows you to freely move around Rhodes. The abundance of tourists is forced to look for more secluded places, which can be easily done with your own transport. Beautiful flowering fields, quiet bays, a medieval city - all this is easily accessible on your own. You can rent a car at the rental desk at the airport. In order to get to the chosen place on the island, you can also use regular buses. However, they go from the airport only to the station, and there you will need to find the right one and make a transfer.
